Guidance & Inspiration for making step-by-step sustainable changes to diet and lifestyle.

One Step at a Time!

Being healthy, fit and strong does not mean never enjoying desert again or making it to the gym 5 days a week. It is about finding what works for you so that you can make sustainable, lifelong change that will keep your body healthy and strong for 100 years. We are designed to live a long time and our bodies know how to heal themselves, we just need to give them the proper fuel and support to do so. It all starts with taking small steps and little changes, playing with and tweaking what works and what doesn't for you by cultivating awareness so that we can listen to our bodies and our intuition. This will create a healthy and happy you! It just takes that very first step, and it doesn't have to be taken alone. Find support, whether it is at the gym, from your partner or friend, or a professional, like a Health Coach. Can one conversation change your life? To your health!

Who hates Ab Flab!?!

Healthy Tip for Your Day: Ab flab! We all hate it and will swear it is the most stubborn place to burn fat! But that is not the case and the right workout will help you lose ab fat. A review of research in the Journal of Obesity found that doing high-intensity interval training may be more effective at reducing ab fat than any other kind of workout. HIIT is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods; often 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off. Why does this work? Because the body sees high-intensity exercise as a stressor and elevates fat-freeing hormones--in a nutshell. This is one of my favorite ways to train myself and my clients. I am currently taking new personal training clients and would love to motivate and train you to tone those trouble areas. PM for rates or for a free consultation. Either way, mix up your exercise routine! To your health!
